RUTILEA, Inc. has entered into a strategic alliance partnership with Rockwell Automation Japan K.K. (HQ: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Tomomi Yada; hereinafter Rockwell) using Digital Twin.

Going forward, RUTILEA will provide no-code AI to customers on the ThingWorx/Kepware platform and provide technical support and training to implement AI applications.

Rockwell will provide manufacturing customers with the Production Digital Twin*, a production system that can be extended with RUTILEA's AI for functions (real-time optimisation of production resources and schedules, predictive diagnosis of production lines and equipment, and quality improvement through production data analysis) to address labour shortages, contributing to improved productivity.

*MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and Industrial IoT platform (ThingWorx/Kepware)

Based on this partnership, the two companies will work together to solve issues centred on the manufacturing industry, including decarbonisation and productivity improvement, and promote DX.

The product is an AI package product for just-in-time maintenance tasks, including CNC blade tool changes. It is ready for immediate use.

Rockwell comment

The introduction of the Production Digital Twin, which links production systems with RUTILEA's AI, enables manufacturing companies and machinery manufacturers that provide equipment to other manufacturing companies to achieve higher levels of quality improvement, cost reduction, shorter delivery times and higher equipment utilisation rates.

(1) Manufacturing companies can optimise their operations based on real-time production information captured on the digital twin, resulting in higher quality and more efficient production. In addition, maintenance training, predictive maintenance and digital verification of production procedures (procurement, assembly, inspection and shipping) for production equipment can reduce the occurrence of problems during actual production.

(2) Machine manufacturers that provide production equipment to manufacturing companies can conduct joint design reviews with manufacturing companies on the digital twin and communicate remotely in a virtual space, contributing to lower machine manufacturing costs and shorter delivery times.

(3) Consumers will obtain products whose quality and safety are controlled by the manufacturing traceability realised on the digital twin.

The linkage between RUTILEA's Plug & Play no-code AI and Rockwell's production systems supports customers' DX drive and enables them to realise a return on investment in a short time.
